Anything brought to school must be clearly labeled with your child's name. This includes lunch containers (put initials on containers and lids) and utensils, water bottles, extra clothing, sweatshirts and jackets, winter outerwear, packs of diapers and wipes, sheets and blankets, etc.  Keep a black and silver Sharpie handy at home for this purpose!  Misdirected belongings are easily returned to the owner if they are labeled!

Daily:

  • A tote bag or backpack for carrying possessions from and to home
  • Lunch in a lunch box with ice packs. Hot foods in a quality thermos (a pre-heated stainless steel thermos works best) should be kept separate.
  • Water bottle (refills provided)
  • Snacks: Early Birds may eat breakfast upon arrival if needed. Mid-morning snack, and Afternoon snack at 4:00.  Label snacks for time of day if you wish.
  • Spoon(s) or child-safe fork(s) if needed (look in baby/toddler department - disposable spoons and forks are easily breakable and dangerous!)
  • Paper or cloth napkin
  • Bib if you wish

Weekly:

  • For all but Pre-K, laundered crib-sized fitted sheet and nap blanket
  • For Pre-K and PM Kindergartners, blanket for rest time

Initially and as needed:

  • Supply of diapers and wipes if used
  • Shoe box or other container with change of clothes (pants, shirt, socks and underpants)
  • Replacement clothing for shoe box as used, seasons change or child grows
  • A pair of slippers with sturdy soles to be worn after recess during boot weather (rain or snow).  Please send only in season.

Please do not send children to school with valuables as there is always the possibility of items being lost.

We also discourage bringing toys from home.  They can get lost or broken and may distract from the planned activities and materials provided by the school.
